How diesel work is handled
Murphy's Autocare does this diesel work on light-duty trucks, SUVs, and vans at both shops. Services include oil and filters, fuel and air filters, cooling service, the 3.0L Duramax oil pump belt, check engine light and low oil pressure diagnosis, fuel system testing, turbo diagnosis and replacement, glow plugs, injectors, EGR, DEF, and high-pressure fuel system repairs.
Engines serviced include the 3.0L Duramax (Mini Max), 6.6L Duramax, 6.7L Powerstroke, 6.7L Cummins, and EcoDiesel platforms. The Mini Max has an oil pump belt that needs periodic service. Powerstroke work here is the 6.7L. Cummins work is the 6.7L. EcoDiesel work is the 3.0L V6 in the Ram 1500, Jeep Wrangler, and Jeep Gladiator.
Diesel oil changes cost more than gas oil changes because these engines typically hold 10 to 15 quarts, compared with 5 to 6 quarts in a gas engine, and they need a higher-specification oil. Call for a quote.
DEF service covers the injector, heater, level sensor, and quality sensor. A DEF warning left alone can put the truck in reduced power mode or keep it from restarting. Turbo complaints include reduced power, smoke, a whine, and oil use. Technicians check whether the turbo is the cause or another system is.
A visit can include a digital vehicle inspection. Photos and video go to your phone or email. You approve repairs before work starts. Technicians are ASE Certified. Senior technicians hold ASE Master Certification.

Questions
Do you work on diesel trucks at both shops? Yes. Light-duty diesel trucks, SUVs, and commercial vans, including Sprinter, Transit, and ProMaster, are serviced in Beavercreek and Centerville.
What if the check engine light is diesel-specific? The shops diagnose diesel codes, including fuel, turbo, and emissions faults, instead of treating the light as a gas-engine problem.
Can a business bring diesel vans? Yes. Local businesses can set a maintenance schedule and have service history tracked for commercial vans, pickups, and service trucks.
