What fleet service covers
Fleet work covers the vehicles a business keeps on the road, domestic, foreign, and hybrid: diagnostics, check engine lights, major and minor repairs, engines, emissions, transmissions, clutches, differentials, electrical, A/C and heat, cooling, suspension, alignment (including modified vehicles), exhaust, struts and shocks, glass, door electrical, windshields, and sunroofs.
ASE Certified technicians do the work. Senior technicians hold ASE Master Certification. A digital vehicle inspection, with photos and video sent to your phone or email, is how findings are shown before you approve repairs. You can sort what has to be done now from what can wait, instead of authorizing a list you have not seen.
Oil analysis is part of the fleet offer. Murphy's is the only automotive service center in Dayton offering on-site oil analysis, using a Spectro Scientific MicroLab 30. It is aimed at fleets running over-the-road vehicles or generator equipment, and at engine oil. It reads six chemistry parameters plus viscosity for drain intervals. A 10-element test looks at contamination and wear metals, and it can be upgraded to 20 elements. The maintenance menu also lists fleet lubricant and fluid analysis and the MicroLab 30.
Diesel fleet vans and pickups can be scheduled here as well. Light-duty diesel service, including Duramax, Powerstroke, Cummins, and EcoDiesel, is done at both shops.
Both locations
Beavercreek: 3815 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45432, 937-426-2886. This shop's fleet page is Beavercreek fleet solutions.
Centerville: 100 N Main St, Centerville, OH 45459, 937-433-0140.
Both shops are open Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm, and closed on weekends. A complimentary shuttle can get a driver to work or home while a vehicle is in the bay. Walk-ins are welcome. Scheduling ahead is how you get the right technician and parts lined up.
Questions
Can you track service across a group of vehicles? Yes. Local businesses can set a maintenance schedule and track service history for commercial vans, pickups, and service trucks.
Do you only work on one brand? No. Fleet service covers domestic, foreign, and hybrid vehicles, plus light-duty diesels.
What if a unit only needs an oil-life check? Ask for on-site MicroLab 30 oil analysis rather than assuming a calendar drain. Details are on the Dayton oil analysis page.
